Leomie
D. Miller (Skeet) was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 17, 1925 to Leroy
Dorsey and Eudell Smith Dorsey-Mitchell, who preceded her in death. She was
married to the late Leroy Miller for 50 years before his passing. She was also
preceded in death by an infant daughter, Eudell and a brother, Bennie Mitchell.
Leomia was a long-time faithful member of Union Progressive Baptist Church, Rev. C. R. Morgan, Pastor. She served as a Deaconess and as President of the Care and Inspiration Ministry. She was also a member of the Food Ministry, "Sarah" Sunday School Class and a member of Network #2, Deacon Bobby Huey and Deacon Al McClendon, Leaders.
Leomie worked for the Grace Family for over 40 years and was affectionately known as "Omie."
She leaves to cherish her memories, Rev. and Sis. Morgan and the Union Progressive Church Family, Jewel Grant, Marjorie Frazier, Dea. and Sis. Alphonse McClendon; adopted family, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Grace, Anne and Childress Lee, Julie and Brett Martin; adopted grandchildren, Mary Dudley, Catherine and Laurel Lee, Emme and Wylie Martin; godchildren, Paula Roberts, Virginia Palmore, C. R. Morgan II (Nakisha), Travis Titus, Kimberly Titus; sister-in-law, Mary Miller; nephews, Kenneth Clair (Carolyn), Nathaniel Clair (Pat), Richard, Gregory, Ovie Miller, Jr.; nieces, Kesha, Lisa, Marian (Carl), Dorothy (Damon), Cynthia, Denise, Catherine; a host of other relatives and friends.
