Deacon Walter Johnson, Jr., (Pretty Boy / Dr. J.) a resident of 9358 Sibbald Road passed away June 4, 2009. He was a member of Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church, 10325 Interstate Center Drive, Bishop Tom E. Diamond and Rev. Eugene Diamond, Sr. Pastors.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Nola Jean Johnson, daughters, Artecia T. Johnson (Eric), Helen Meadows (Robert), Leisa Oliver (Travis), LaCheryl Martin-Moore (Garrick); sons, Alvin Martin (Tonya), Reginald Mann (Pamela); loving mother, Mrs. Elvena Johnson; twelve  grandchildren, twelve  great grandchildren; sisters, Clementine Sallins, Deloris Burns, Barbara Jones, Teresa Pringles (Carlton), Darlene Jones (Jimmy), Sharon Moore (Gene); brother, Eugene Mendheim (Margaret); sisters-in-law, Wylene Allen, Mildred Tillman (Joseph); brothers-in-law, Willie Dudley (Anna), Charlie Dudley and Rev. Elbert Asberry, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, three godsons and many sorrowing friends.
