Rosa
Ella Dunbar Rountree was born July 17, 1931 to the late Johnnie and Mary Dunbar
in Martin, South Carolina. At an early age, she joined St. Mary Baptist Church
and received her education in the Public School System of South Carolina.
In 1956, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida. She was employed by the Duval County School Board as a custodian and retired after thirty plus years of service.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, D. D. Dunbar.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Elijah Rountree; grandchildren, Kanesha Bryant (Milton), Derrick Rountree (Michelle), Demetrius Rountree, Chelsea Rountree; great grandchildren, Charles Bryant, Marcus Bryant, Cesar J. Caspille; nieces, nephews, devoted cousin, Roderick Jones; other cousins and a host of sorrowing friends, among them, devoted friend, Claudia Ponder.
