Mr.
Robert Louis Hagans was born June 1, 1925 to Oliver and Emma (Sykes) Hagans. His
sunset was Monday, December 22, 2008.
He was educated in the Putnam County Public School District. Mr.
Hagans later moved to Jacksonville Beach, Florida where he remained for over 69
years. During his tenure, he joined St. Andrew AME Church, 125 9th St. S., Rev.
Dr. William Simmons, Pastor.
Leaving to mourn are his sons, Robert T. Hagans (Aletha), Donnell
C. Hagans (Deborah), Myron E. Hagans (Audrey); daughters, Loralyn Hagans-Smith
(Leon), Sharon Jennings and Fronita Stripling (Cleveland); his only surviving
sister and sibling, Gracie Gutmanis. His family includes Joseph and Helen
Jackson his devoted nephew and niece, along with generations of grandchildren,
nephews, nieces, cousins, including, Ernestine Smith and Valencia Roberts as
well as his extended family, The Harris.
