Renee Alicia Banks went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2008. She was born October 4, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Elijah Ernest Sr. and Annie Lois Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Elijah Ernest Robinson, Jr.  

Renee attended St. Matthews Baptist Church, Pastor George A. Price,  where she accepted Christ at an early age. As a young women she was active with the youth department, later becoming its director. She attended Duval County Public Schools graduating from Stanton High School Class of 1967. Renee's life reflected an unconditional love to all including family, friends, church members and community.

After graduating from high school she pursued a career in nursing which gave her the opportunity to express her gift of caring and sharing. Renee used her gift of caring at Methodist Hospital, Eartha M. White Health Care and most recently at Harts Harbor Health Care. God gifted Renee with an immense love for people and she was a wonderful mother, friends and caregiver. Because of this gift, she never met a stranger and was kind to all she met. She understood that life could be a struggle and it was not unusual  for her to help others in need. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Adonnica L. Toler; three sons, Jimmie Banks, Jr., Orlando, FL, Gerald Banks, Charles Banks, Sr., (Raissa), Orlando, FL; one sister, Geralyn Wise; two grandsons, Charles Jr., and Donovan Banks,  a host of nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
