Sister
Lucille Barbara Baker passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December
17, 2009. Sis. Baker was born August 9, 1926 in Yulee, Florida, to Deacon James
and Ethel Baker. Sister Baker was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida
where she attended public schools. She was a devoted member of the Greater
Missionary Tabernacle Baptist Church,5730 Sawyer Ave., Rev. J.C. Green, Pastor,
where she served as the President of the Gateway Missionary Society. She was
employed at Fred Cottons Bar-B-Que for 53 years where she was loved by everyone
that came in contact with her. She leaves to cherish her memories, sister,
Earnestine Baker; brother, John Lipsey; sister-in-law, Connie Baker; uncle, Dea.
David A. Baker ;aunts, Marie Baker, Vera Baker, Bertha Baker and Alice Baker;
God-children, Charles Spencer and Natalie Walker; special nephews, Rayfield
Barney and Derrick Baker; special nieces, Ruthie Mae Mathis, Sharon Baker and
Pamela Roberts; special close friends, Eartha Brown and Mae McCluthen and a host
of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
