Jannie Mae Gordon, was born December 11, 1927 to the late Mitchell and Bessie Mae Edwards.

She went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2008. She leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Foster Gordon, Jr.; sisters, Hazel Lamons and Earnesteen Oglesby (Walter); great aunts, Ellis Spivey and Deotha Brown; sisters-in-law, Frorrie Lee, Hazel Coley, Lillie Mae Alexander and Helen Crawford; brother-in-law, James Gordon; nephew-in-law, Robert Gordon; daughters, Diane Washington and Patricia McKinnon; sons, Jerry Washington and Deacon Anderson Washington, Jr.; daughters-in-law, Carol Washington, Carolyn Washington, Queen Washington; sons-in-law, Lorenzo Wilson and Thomas McKinnon; grandchildren, Sonceria, Teresa, Gloria, Tina, Jacqueline, Terry, Jerikka, Jermeka, Shantelle, Shacondra, Tevin, Donisha, Pamela, Ricky, Shelia, Anderson III (Theresa Washington), Anthony (Kendra Washington), Jeanette, Charlena, Annette, Sharon, Adrian, Leroy; a host of great grands; and many sorrowing loved ones, relatives and dear friends.
