Clinton James, the son, Iula Grant James and Willis James, was born April 21, 1928 in Lafayette County, Alabama. He departed this life on January 29, 2009; the last of 13 siblings.

He was joined in holy matrimony to Deaconess Lurlene James on September 6, 1947. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church where he served faithfully until his passing.

In addition to his parents and siblings, he was preceded in death by his son, MacArthur James and his grandson, Dwight James, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, daughter, Betty James Sutton; four sons, Leroy (Yen), Clinton (Wanda), Dwight and Ruben; 15 grandchildren, Michelle, Mekeba, Patrick, Clinton, III, Thaddeus, Tina, Javaris, Ciera, Kiera, Karen, Anthony, Tyler, Mac Jr., and Andrea; 17 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and dear friends, including Sister Mollie Payne and her daughter, Joann Daniels.
