Brother
Allen Thomas was born in Dawson, Georgia on March 27, 1916 to the late Dora &
Leroy Thomas. He attended Elementary School in Terrell County, Georgia. He
joined the United States Army where he served for three years. Bro. Thomas was
employed at Baby Diaper Service for many years as a driver under the leadership
of Mr. H.W. Shad.
Bro. Thomas met and married the late Mrs. Cora Thomas, together they shared a beautiful life for 55 years. Bro. Thomas joined Midway A.M.E. Church family many years ago, where he served faithfully as a Class leader, Trustee, Steward & Finance Committee.
Bro. Thomas went to his reward on Thursday, November 6, 2008. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cora Thomas, brother, Henry Harris, sister, Mary Lee Wimberly and his niece, Willie Mae Branon (Robert).
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving nieces, Johnnie Mae Jenkins, Georgia Mae Terry (Reginald) , Clemetine W. Jones (Johnnie), Jean Jackson (James), Minnie Wilson, Annie Carter and Betty Black; devoted nephews, Bobbie Telefair, Robert Bailey and Johnny Jackson,Jr., (Cheryl), and a host of grands, great grands, great -great grands nieces,nephews and a host of cousins, dear neighbors, Mr. & Mrs. Richard Black and many friends, including the Mother Midway Church Family.
